SE House Deep Clean
Friends of the Children operates a house in SE Portland that Friends and kids can access to work on homework, play basketball, do a craft project, etc. The house undergoes heavy use and needs a deep cleaning at least two times a year. If your group would like to help us provide a clean, welcoming space for our youth please contact email@example.com.
Friends of the Children hosts or participates in four major fundraising events annually. You can support an event by joining a committee to assist in the coordinating and planning, or volunteer the day of an event.

Annual Holiday Gift Drive
Assist Friends of the Children in doing all that we can to ensure that our families are provided for during the traditional holiday season and feel a sense of community support. You and your team of employees or family can get involved by leading a toy drive at the office, adopting a family or families for the holidays or helping us transport and sort toys. Contact us to learn more.
Put together a team or teams for this fun fundraising event! Collect pledges to raise money and awareness for Friends of the Children and come out and bowl to see who can get the highest score. Sign up here.
Spend one hour a week helping a child with their academic work. We will pair you with a youth based on your availability, grade level & subject interest.
We need reliable help with administrative work. Helping for a few hours with various office tasks means we are able to save time and money that can go to our children.
Facilitating an Activity
Support our efforts by sharing a skill or passion with a group of youth. Past activities include: woodworking, slam poetry, Jazzercise, sewing, music, film discussion, etc.
Friends Outreach Team
Would you like to spread the word about Friends of the Children while developing your outreach skills? We are looking for passionate individuals to join our outreach team. Opportunities could include making presentations to corporate and civic groups or representing Friends of the Children at volunteer or nonprofit fairs.
