Cameron is a native of the Pacific Northwest and recently returned to Oregon after spending the last two years in Lubbock, Texas. He has a master’s degree in biological anthropology from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in biocultural anthropology from Oregon State University. Before coming to FriendsPDX, Cameron worked with tribal members and law enforcement agencies to identify and repatriate the remains of missing persons. He also worked to advocate for the rights of migrant farmworkers and their families, who often face a myriad of structural inequalities. Cameron was drawn to FriendsPDX for its proven ability to impact youth and the local community while disrupting the cycle of generational poverty. Outside of work, Cameron loves to explore the Pacific Northwest with his fiancé and their friends and travel whenever he gets the chance.
