Staff: Rhea Hannon

Rhea (pronounced “Rey”) grew up in Massachusetts—home of the first public library, Louisa May Alcott, Emily Dickinson, and Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg—and moved to Portland as a Jesuit Volunteer upon graduating from Smith College. She’s excited to use her passion for writing and storytelling to advance FriendsPDX’s mission of impacting generational change and dismantling systemic oppression.

In her free time, Rhea can be found taking excessively long walks with her dog (Finnick Odair), performing in a local theatrical production (the campier, the better), re-reading one of her favorite novels for the hundredth time (instead of any on her miles-long TBR list), or swimming in a (likely frigid) lake/river/ocean.
