Staff: Wanda Poton

Wanda has been working with Friends of the Children-Portland since 2006. Wanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Portland State University. Drawn to the field of helping children stems from being a first-generation college student, being the eldest of six in an immigrant family, and seeing the power of people's drive to work towards their dreams of breaking generational barriers. Wanda believes wholeheartedly in all children and is motivated by their potential. She enjoys being a mother to a beautiful little boy, being a wife to an amazingly supportive husband, and spending time with friends and family cooking and hosting for them. Wanda enjoys all sorts of arts and crafts but is primarily driven by being a part of young people’s growing journey and seeing their happiness.
