Staff: Yamilet Alas

Yamilet was born and raised in Southern California. Yamilet studied Critical Race, Gender and Sexuality at Humboldt State University and then came to Oregon in 2013 for a Master's degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. The thing that Yamilet appreciates most about FriendsPDX is the commitment to the holistic betterment of the lives of the youth we walk alongside. In Yamilet's free time, she enjoys cooking, music and cheering on the Portland Thorns!
