Adam grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to Portland in 2015 after finishing a master’s degree in accounting from University of Michigan. Before coming to Friends of the Children – Portland, he spent eight years working in nonprofit program operations and then obtained a CPA while working at a Big Four accounting firm.
Adam is inspired by solutions that are big enough to address systemic problems at the core. The FriendsPDX model of 12.5 years of mentorship is as bold as it is intuitive and demonstrably works to change lives. In his free time, he enjoys dance, tabletop role playing games, and other activism work.
