Adam is a native of Grant Rapids, MI and moved to Portland in 2015. He has a master’s degree in accounting from University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in sustainable business from Aquinas College. Before coming to Friends of the Children – Portland, he spent eight years building nonprofit experience as a CPA working at a Big Four accounting firm.
Adam is inspired by solutions that are bold and big enough to address systemic problems at the core. The FriendsPDX commitment of 12.5 years, no matter what, is just such a promise that demonstrably works to change lives. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, dance, podcasts, tabletop role playing games, and other activism work.
