Staff: Christin Huja

Christin Huja is a Northwest-native raised in Gresham. She is a first generation college graduate with a BA in Speech and Hearing as well as an MS in Education. She was drawn to FriendsPDX because of the close relationships that mentors develop with children and families over time. Having spent the last 6 years as the room parent at her child’s school, she thrived in building a supportive and inclusive community for all of the children and families in the class.

She lives in Portland with her husband and their two children. Her favorite season is fall because she loves to feel the warmth of the sun without getting too hot and to enjoy her late blooming flower garden when everyone else’s flowers are all spent. She looks forward to the smell of the first rains after a long summer and being able to wear jeans again. She also likes to read and play board games.
