Staff: Joanna Laird

Joanna was born and raised in Rhode Island. She considers herself extremely fortunate to be born into a family of grassroots advocates who value community and equitable access to education. Eight years ago, travel led her to Oregon to work on a wine harvest, where she fell in love with the outdoors and culture unique to this place. Creating a nonprofit partnership as part of a marketing initiative inspired her to go back to school and study Community Development at Portland State University. She is inspired by Friends of the Children's unique model that creates transformational change in our community.
Outside of work, Joanna enjoys road-tripping, cycling, and spending time on the Sandy River with her partner and friends.
