Staff: Josue Gonzales

Josue hails from Kalamazoo, MI and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. When it comes to FriendsPDX, Josue admires and appreciates is having the creativity to work with the youths’ interests. They enjoy having agency of what the day will look like, as well as having options to do something fun with the youth we serve.

Outside of work, they have a few hobbies; Josue coaches and practices Muay thai. It is a combat sport deriving from Thailand. They love nature and being outside at anytime of the year, and they love climbing and bouldering as well. Josue has a traveling spirit that is akin to what they consider to be a vagabond. All these things bring Josue energy and excitement and a sense of order and peace.
