Mark is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned a degree from Aquinas College in international studies and Spanish. He moved to work with the AmeriCorps Service in economic development before transitioning into an AmeriCorps membership role with Partnerships for Student Achievement where he served as a math tutor for at-risk high school students.
Mark appreciates the unwavering commitment that Friends and staff have to the youth and is thankful for being able to work in an environment that values social equity. In his free time, Mark might be reading his endless list of non-fiction books, watching an NBA game, or feeling over-competitive in a game of chess. One of Mark's favorite things is enjoying the outdoors with loved ones.
