Staff: Rose Terner

Rose grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Portland to study mathematics at Lewis and Clark College. After graduating, Rose worked as a Pre-K teacher, coach, and as an educator for the Oregon Zoo, before coming to Friends of the Children. She loves working with youth and values the long term commitment FriendsPDX guarantees to the youth in its program. Outside of work Rose is involved in many different athletic teams, including ultimate frisbee, soccer, and women’s football. She also loves to spend time exploring the mountains, working in her garden, taking care of her fish tanks, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
