FriendsPDX School Supply Drive

You can help prepare youth set up for academic success this year! We are running a school supply drive NOW until August 24th, 2022. We walk alongside youth from kindergarten through high school, so we have school-aged youth of all ages! Basics like Ticonderoga pencils, erasers, and markers are needed, but more obscure items like graphing calculators, flash drives, and personal hygiene products are also essential.

Please consider buying items from the following list and delivering them to our headquarters at 44 NE Morris St. or buying off our Amazon Wishlist.

Suggested Items

• Backpacks (especially for middle/high school students)
• Graphing calculators
• Personal hygiene products (deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, menstruation products)
• College, wide-ruled, and graph paper (loose leaf and in notebooks)
• Ticonderoga pencils
• Colored pencils
• Rulers
• Right and left-handed scissors
• Protractors
• Flash drives
• Mechanical pencils
• 3" 3-ring binders
• Highlighters
• Earbuds or earphones with microphones
• Tablets
• Cell phones
• Hotspots for Wi-Fi
• Non-perishable snack items

Need Other Ideas?

Gift certificates to Fred Meyer, Safeway, Bi-Mart, Amazon or any stores with school supplies. Haircut gift certificates or restaurant gift certificates can also help with teenagers' self-esteem and socializing (safely).
