Staff: Greg Shuster

Greg is a first generation college graduate who comes from a Ukrainian-Jewish refugee family. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and originally from Maryland. He moved to Portland after his service where he attended Portland State University and got his degree in psychology. Greg appreciates Friends of the Children – Portland's research-based approach. FriendsPDX is also unique in that from the top down, it feels like a big extended family. He values how the change created from the program and the effect on the community is long lasting, deep, and powerful. Outside of being a mentor, Greg loves to boulder, spend time with his wife and children and play Rocket League.
