About Friends of the Children-Portland

Through the power of relationships, Friends of the Children - Portland addresses critical societal challenges and drives greater equity, justice, and connection for the youth in our community who need us the most. Friends currently provides over 400 youth with salaried, professional mentors for their entire childhood, from kindergarten through high school graduation.

FriendsPDX School Supply Drive

Our Goal: $15,000 to prepare 390 kids for school success! It's already Back to School season and our kids and families are gearing up for another school year. This year, we are raising money for our kids to shop directly with their mentors so they can get exactly what they need.

For just $50, you can support one youth with the school supplies they need to have a successful year. For $250, you can supply five kids with the opportunity to shop with their mentor for the school supplies they need. This new giving model gives kids the opportunity to have agency over what they are bringing with them on the first day of school to feel confident and excited to learn!

Help us reach our goal of $15,000 to help each one of our 390 kids have a successful school year!
