A Legacy of Friendship
For over 25 years, Friends of the Children has made a 12+ year commitment to each and every child who enters our program in kindergarten. To ensure we are here to help youth navigate life’s biggest challenges, please consider investing in their future with a multi-year or planned gift.
Our tax ID number is 93-1098105.
Today's Gift for Tomorrow's Youth
Whether you leave a cash or stock gift today or leave a planned gift in the form of a bequest through your will or trust, your investment provides a lasting impact that extends beyond your family and provides access to life-changing mentors for hundreds of youth in our community.
Gifts can take many forms: cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, tax-deferred retirement plans and insurance policies.
Making a gift to the Foundation for Friends of the Children–Portland will ensure the long-term sustainability of our innovative program for the next generation.
Your Investment Options
You can make a big impact with a multi-year pledge that provides critical funding we can count on to ensure our youth receive the services they deserve. Your investment in the future could be an annual gift of $1,500, $5,000, $10,000 or any amount and time with which you are comfortable. If you prefer to use your Donor Advised Fund, rather than a multi-year pledge, you can make one significant gift and we will allocate the funds to our budget over a time-frame you prefer. Will you join us in our 12+ year commitment to each child?
Legacy Capital Campaign
Our historic headquarters in NE Portland have served the community for 25 years. However, our building is aging and requires upgrades that will allow us to more effectively and efficiently serve youth, the community and our National Headquarters. Improvements include new youth program space, security system, energy-efficient windows, HVAC system, and new office space for our Center for Excellence in Mentoring. An investment in our facility ensures our continued operations in the heart of the community we serve.
The Friends of the Children Foundation oversees an investment portfolio that is carefully managed to provide financial security for the next 25 years and beyond. A board of professional financial advisers steward our investments and allocates funds for program expansion and long-term sustainability of Friends of the Children–Portland. Your gift will provide future generations with a professional mentor who will help youth create a new future.
To leave a bequest to our Foundation, provide our full name "Friends of the Children Foundation" and our Foundation's EIN: 20-1241534.
