Staff: Jessica Plante-Curl

Jessica Plante-Curl grew up in the Boston, MA area and subsequently lived throughout the southern states including Texas, Mississippi, Florida (twice!), and North Carolina before settling down in Oregon. Since arriving in Portland in 2019, and prior to joining the development team at FriendsPDX, Jessica held grant director roles at the University of Portland and Portland State University. She has more than 14 years of experience managing grants and funder relationships.

Jessica is also a poet and teacher having earned a doctorate in poetry from Florida State University in 2019. Her first book, Waveland, was published in 2021. Examples of her poetry and short fiction can be found in print or online. Outside of work, Jessica loves to hike and enjoy the wonders of the PNW with her husband, Matthew, and her stepson, Theo. When not hiking, Jessica can be found gardening, reading, or working on a memoir that is taking a very long time to complete.
