FriendsPDX Voted Oregon's #1 Most Admired Nonprofit

Friends of the Children—Portland (FriendsPDX) continues to garner recognition for its courageous, unique, and proven model. For the seventh year in a row, the organization has been voted the Portland Business Journal’s #1 Most Admired Nonprofit. FriendsPDX has been nominated to the top ten list of Most Admired Nonprofits since 2007!

Friends of the Children provides a professional mentor for youth experiencing the barriers of extreme poverty from the beginning of their education to ensure they successfully complete high school. Our mentors are salaried professionals who spend hours each week with up to ten youth ages five to eighteen years of age. FriendsPDX currently serves over 400 youth in the Portland metro area.
