Together They Launch the Drive for Kids Campaign
Mercedes-Benz of Portland, Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton and Lithia 4Kids, Lithia’s community impact foundation, are partnering with Super Bowl Champion and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, to support Friends of the Children-Portland.
The Drive for Kids campaign aims to raise $60,000 through a variety of fundraising events over the next nine months. As part of those efforts, Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Beaverton will match contributions made in person at either location or online at driveforkidsportland.com.
“A Portland original, Friends of the Children is an exceptional organization and we’re thrilled to join with Russell Wilson to support their continued growth,” said Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton General Manager Andrew Plummer. “We’re huge fans of Russell’s efforts on the field and in the community and we’re proud to have his support for Drive for Kids.”
Through the partnership, Russell Wilson will be featured in a series of videos that highlight our youth and the dealerships' commitment to serving their customers and the community.
Wilson is a great choice as a spokesperson for the work that Friends of the Children does, as he truly believes in the impact a long-term mentor can have on a child. “For kids facing extraordinary challenges, consistent mentorship can be the thing that sets them on a path to success,” said Russell Wilson. “Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton have deep roots in the community and it’s a pleasure to join their team in supporting Friends of the Children-Portland.”
